Clement Larochelle (1814 - 1871)
- Clement Larochelle was born in 1814 and raised by his mother because his father died in prison. Because their family was poor, he had to work since he was young. He worked as a silk worker in a factory.
- In 1830, 16-year-old Clement took part in Paris Revolution to overthrow King Charles X (The Bourbons)
- In 1831, along with his friends, he joined some major revolts of silk workers in Lyon, France, known as the Canut Revolts. Then again in 1834, he took part in the Second Canut Revolts but this rebellion was crushed by the government in a bloody battle. Luckily, he was not imprisoned.
- In that revolt, he met Rosalie Abdet, who is also a silk worker. They got married a year after, 1835.

- In 1871, he took part in the Paris Commune, also known as the Fourth French Revolution but not for long because it was violently suppressed by Adolphe Thiers’ government.
- A lot of people have died in Paris Commune and Clement was one of them.
